Russia and China Brokered The Ceasefire Between Israel And Iran
A former presidential aspirant under the platform of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Adamu Garba II, claims that Russia and China pulled the ceasefire string in the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, by calling Iran to halt its offensive, and not the United States as widely claimed. The 4 minutes 5 seconds video was posted on the microblogging platform, X, on July 7, 2025 with the caption, “It wasn’t President Trump who brokered the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, it was China and Russia that called Iran to call it off.”
This claim had about 138,000 views and 1,331 replies, reposts, quotes, likes and bookmarks, as of when this report was published. In the comment section, @sasmanic wrote, “Aboki and sense are eternal enemies. Tell China to broker Russia bs ukraine” while @jeff_jigga said “Keep quiet!!!Iran has been muted and men like you with no clue except what you read from sectional social media should stop whining with falsehoods. Iran today is on it kneels praying for continued de-escalation to gather back what they lost. Btw, their Airspace is still under Israeli control.”
VERIFICATION

Reuters quoted a White House official who confirmed that Trump “brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Iran” through calls with Israeli PM Netanyahu and separate U.S. delegation talks with Tehran.
Coverage from Time, Reuters, ABC, and others confirmed China or Russia had no direct mediating role in this Iran–Israel ceasefire. Although China and Russia expressed concern and denounced the U.S. strikes. According to Reuters, Iran reached out to Gulf intermediaries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman to encourage U.S. pressure on Israel, but these nations were facilitators, not primary orchestrators.
