Did Biafran Soldiers Attack A Nigerian Military Personnel?

On March 23, 2025, a Facebook user, GIACO MONEY posted a video claiming that a Nigerian soldier was attacked and captured by Biafran forces.

The 38 seconds video shows a man in a military camouflage uniform in a vehicle, being tied up, with the caption: “BIAFRA SOLDIERS ATTACK NIGERIA SOLDIER..BIAFRA , Davido Verydarkblackman Geh Geh …”

VERIFICATION

Using Google reverse image search to analyse screenshots from the video, NV-A found that the video had appeared on YouTube on March 22, 2025, with the caption: “Fake soldier Caught on Military Uniform intimidating people”. In the video, a voice is heard asking the man who was tied-up at the back of a vehicle, “are you a soldier?” Adding “you wear army uniform, I will finish you, I swear to God”.

Further search revealed that the same video was uploaded on March 21, 2025 on Facebook with the caption, “A fake military man caught by Nigeria army, Sojan bogi ya Shiga hannun sojan gaske #highlightseveryone #reelsvideoシ #fypシ゚viralシ #fypシviralシ2024 #kannywoodstyle #fypシ #viralvideoシ #viralreelschallenge #reelsviralシ #trendingreels #kano #arewa #Hausa #fypageシ #hausaa_fulanii #army #arewa.” This video has generated over 3,600 views and the audio matched the video found on YouTube

The video’s original audio does not include any mention of Biarfra whereas the version posted by GIACO MONEY  was edited to include background music.

CONCLUSION 

The claim that Biafra soldiers attacked a Nigerian soldier is MISLEADING.  “Audio analysis of the original footage reveals that an individual identified as a ‘fake soldier’ was undergoing interrogation following his apprehension. The audio content does not contain any references to ‘Biafra.
