VERIFICATION
El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, has been a central battleground in Sudan’s ongoing civil war between the RSF and the Sudanese army. On October 20 2025, reports from international media confirmed that RSF forces intensified attacks in the city, seizing key military installations and carrying out assaults that left dozens of civilians dead.
Between late 2023 and 2024, Egypt was at the forefront of dialogue between Sudan and paramilitary RSF, but there is no credible evidence or reports of direct Egyptian air operations in Sudan’s Darfur region.
A fact check of the image used in the claim reveal that the pictures appeared online four years ago in connection with a joint military drill between Egypt and Sudan
No official statements from the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), RSF, or the UAE confirmed the alleged airstrikes.
CONCLUSION
The claim that a joint Egypt–Sudan Air Force operation bombed the positions of UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in El Fasher is FALSE. There is no evidence to support the claim that the Egypt–Sudan Air Force launched strikes on UAE-backed RSF militias in El Fasher
